Google is coming out with their own hardware phone and is stepping up to the plate in the smart phone business which makes a lot of sense. many have wondered why this company has not ventured into this field before but I think it likely had to do with the loss and waste of google Glass. Now off the hels of what is undeniably a decline of Samsung with their flaming phones Google's inroad into the crowded smart phone industry is a smart move. instead of just supplying the Android software google is once again trying to show that it can make one mean product. aside from he slow charging time my favorite tablet has always been the nexus and Google would be a welcome addition and alternative for the anti-apple people out there.
The marketing an new approach that Google is setting forth of their new smartphones is intense and it does risk alienating itself with other Android devices and makers who are now seen as rivals instead of partners. I am sure Googles ne phone will have much better speakers than the other android operating smart phones and Google is also entering the much ballyhooed Virtual Reality headset business and with their incredible 
investment in the self-automated car one has to wonder how long will it be before Google creates the virtual reality automobile where people can enjoy the driving experience without actually driving and the annoying impact of burning fossil fuels into the air or having to go for an oil change. I am surprised there hasn't been major research and development into what would be mankind biggest clean energy move and drive away from endless driving and wasteful American pastime of driving everywhere and elsewhere to stave off boredom.
