Gomez Addams. what Can I say. the actor played by John Astin and one of his favorite parts of the show was touching and necking Mortecia Addams. even though Carolyn ones had the role firmly hard John Astin and producers auditioned a plethora of buxom beauties often during the two year run of the show. John Astin had to practice and feel up many actresses just in case there was the need to get use to a new actress if Carolyn jones left her role as Mortecia Addams. John Astin convinced producers they needed a harem of women quickly available and to be ready. The character Gomez needed to learn her feel and touch quickly. many actresses were even lucky enough for private auditions with Mr Astin in private dressing rooms or more lucky in a private hotel Suite where mr Addams had to try out potential Mrs Addams for the role.
astin/Gomez loved auditioning these women more so than the actual recording and acting of this Gomez Role. He would prefer his favorite lines and scenes with these potentially new actresses, most often repeating the scenes owhere he got to get up close and mouth his saliva all over the musty old dress of Mortecia Addams although in these auditions the women often didn't have the Mortecia outfit. 
John would measure up these women and not every actress that came for a part time stand in role or body double stand would measure up for a tryout with John Astin. Only about four actresses a week were delivered for auditioning during film season for the Addams Family and altogether John Astin likely practiced on hundreds of actresses and practicing the Gomez arm and neck slime that he so often did on Carolyn Jones.
