I was waiting for Charles Barkley to say some shit concerning last weeks shocking altercation I witnessed before my eyes while watching my beloved new York nets play in Madison Square garden. I love to catch a Jet and watch my favorite New York teams out East be it either the Knickerbockers, the jets, or the Beasts of the IHL. I happened to be fortune and be near by and saw the altercation where Charles Oakley and security staff flashed n my head how I eagerly looked forward to when the bulls had Oak and whenever they played Charles Barkly and his Sixers team.
I often made the jokes to friends that these two beasts were going to collide before and often during the game and indeed these two went toe to toe under the rims and had their shares of fights, gas exchanges, elbows , knee jobs. shoulder jams , neck slaps, head butts, kicks, bites, scratches, and kisses. One of the most classic and brutal fights was when Oakley battles and fought the beast from the west. A fan could be guaranteed there would be a fight when the tip off started and the two Charles were on opposing sides of the court I wonder if the security staff harassing mr Oakley realize the impact of this man on the court and how he and Barkley redefined the game and saved it from an also ran humdrum sport that the NBA was becoming outside of games featuring magic ,Bird, or Michael. I would ahh perhaps say that players like the Charles saved the game and gave it a ore rough legitimacy that the point scorers couldn't achieve in the minds of the fans and the press. eventually though I quit the NBA as I got tired of the egotistical attitudes of the newer generation and concentrated my sports mind to the surge of fantast football, which didn't translate as cool with MLB and NBA, but for a moment in time these two guys would could kick most boxers asses were worthy of athletic respect and admire ...from afar. As far as Charles Barkely's outstanding comments and criticism of Mr Oakley, once again Charles shows why he is the most outlandish and outstanding ex-athlete turned annalist on TV and the bark head says it with his soul and means everything about his ex-rival on the court. it sounds like Barkley ready to get a piece on the drunk fool and teach him some civic lessons and ho not to embarrass the game and put such a negative spotlight on the importance of the New York franchise
