The Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency has confirmed nine cougar sightings in the state and with it containing mountains it should really be no surprise that these big cats are returning to more amiable habitats. The nine sightings have occurred in the Middle and Western part of the state and whether these are released pets or natural born killers is not yet known but it could be the former as assholes in red states often think they can skirt around regulation and actually adopt beasts as pets. The Puma has always been a popular pet for these renegade pet holders who fall in love with the kittens and try to raise these animals as they were a regular tabby. Cougars are said to be able to control growing deer populations and one must wonder if the TWRA in order to save costs have introduced these animals. Texas may be thinking of a similar plan to release the cats to control the herds of wild buck feral hogs over-running farms and dairy. One can see for some of these Tennessee rural backwater jagoffs a Rottweiler or pit bull not being extreme enough on their sprawling isolated properties and seeing these people amuse themselves after a night of drinking moonshine by bringing out the cougar is highly possible. Obin County was the first to see a cougar and get its image captured on night vision and soon reports and video of other little lions started appearing on peoples homemade cameras. Either the Cougar is returning to the Tennessee Valley or a lot of hicks are letting loose of their cats in tough economic times as feeding them can cost an arm and a leg if not provided well in their captivity as a adopted beast making its way East.
