Ale Asylum's beer makers Otto Dilba and Dean Coffey expand brewery and look like they belong in an insane asylum

Ale Asylum is growing and Madison's craft beer makers Otto Dilba and Dean Coffey are proud of their beers and they look like they belong in an insane asylum. The duo has lasted ten years which is a long tie in the craft beer industry and they throw all sorts of hops in their beer that some may claim is tasty and like the beer bomb.
In 2005   a brew master and marketing director were sitting at a bar. The brewmaster turned to his colleague and asked, "What do you think about starting our own brewery?" The marketing director took a long swig of his beer and replied, "I think you're insane, but I'm in." The duo decided to start their own insane beer and they continue the tradition to this day as both still look like they belong in an insane asylum  On May 19, 2006, Dean Coffey and Otto Dilba co-founded Ale Asylum as Coffey left Angelica brewing Company as they wanted to make more seasonal beers and felt like they were getting shafted for their hard work in the industry making sweet beer.
Coffey went on to say in an interview how awful the beer was at angelic Brewering and when he took the job as brewmaster he told the fucking owner but that when it came to the brew house was up to him and he was to have full freedom to make beer. Coffey was fucking insane to make these demands to the owner of Angelic including no budgets,no ideas, and no say in how he was to make Angelic beer. For ten years Coffey owned Madison,Wisconsin and met Otto soon into this tenure and they decided to launch their own company which was fucking insane and hence the name.  Originally located in a strip mall, Ale Asylum occupied 8,000 square feet that housed a 13-barrel brew house, bottling line, cold/dry storage and a tasting room. In the first year of production, 837 barrels were cranked out. In 2011, we produced 10,116 barrels. With a production capacity of 11,000 barrels. Dean and Otto are huge fucking fans of the brewing legend Fritz Maytag who would make his employees go into the farms and harvest the grains themselves form time to time so they can appreciate how beer is not just alchemy but actually comes from the earth and is harvested through hard labor and there is a connection to mother nature. Ale Asylum will continue the tradition of making bathtub beer and expand their proprieties and offering in a brew pub coming near to you and if you are into craft beer and haven't tried their product then you are insane.
