Nigel Travis worried about the Donut Vault and other urban specialty donut shops

  Chuck Woodruff
In fly by fat land Dunkin Donuts is everywhere in certain urban markets and Chicago is not much different from this fact. There are like some hundred and sixty Dunkin Donuts in Chicago and Nigel Travis may think he has the corner covered in the corrupt Windy City. The global imprint this bad company has in Massachusetts and Chicago is unfortunate and a result of globalization as these companies buy up or rent key corners in these markets.
Make no mistake though Dunkin Donuts makes no buzz and is like the fly people want to swat and not be around. Dunkin CEO Nigel travis sees all of the buzz of great tasting specialty donut shops like Chicago's own Donut shop attracting crowds standing on streets to taste a fresh donut the way it is suppose to made and taste.
Many Dunkin Donuts forces their poor Teluga cousins to work long hours way into the night as many Dunkin Donuts are open all night and most sit completely empty I have noticed in Chicago and Milwaukee's suburbs. Dunkin Donuts is everywhere in fly by suburbia and it is their mere business practice, style, and culture that makes these areas suck ass all cheap areas attracting the worse and worse of business development be it either a car wash or storage places.
The revitalization of some of American cities often heralded in the nations press couldn't of been achieved without business that offer no frills and custom making neighborhoods into truck depot ghettos as more and more people flock to the few truck-fre downtown zones offering alternative living and actualy cool and interesting business such as the Donut Vault. Nigel Travis is worried and he sees his Dunkin Donuts becoming saturated into zones of exclusivity filled with poverty-stricken people, immigrants, and dollar stores.
