AI Intelligence in Popeye video game detected by Otto Jansen after playing fifteen hours at Brookfield's Galloping Ghost arcade

    Some of our writers love to play in various old school looking arcades and barcades and two such places they hang around often are Underground Retrocade in Dundee, Ill and of course Galloping Ghost in Brookfield, Ill. Otto Jansen was there recently  and seen playing the classic and difficult boring game called Popeye for some ten hours straight and this is a game that is based some old American sailor comic strip from the twenties and thirties and has been remade several times in cartoon version over and over again.

Popeye us a very difficult game an d the highlight and the discomfit of this game comes with the Sea Hag character throwing bottles at your Popeye as it attempts to capture hearts falling down from the screen. The Sea Hag often has been misunderstood in Popeye loredom and history as she is I see as a protective subject preventing the defilement of Olive Oyl form these two twisted sick sailors and this is especially seen in the #Metoo movement as Olive Oyl suffered years of abuse form these two thugs eating spinach and running around fighting one another

er for access and ownership of Ms Oyl. The Sea Hag came in  a variety of different versions but she was always an ugly bitch. I would like to see a more realistic urban and younger version of the wealthy bitch in Sea Hag cartoon portrayal perhaps as an luxury purse purchasing obsessed consumerist..maybe an young Asian chick. The Sea Hag doesn't have to be physically ugly and can be so in the inside.  Anyway as Otto proclaims and write on his blog and he says this is one of the most  difficult games to get pass three levels and the amount of times the Sea Hag appears predicting where the Popeye character will go is an amazing example of early artificial intelligence in gaming. The Sea Hag character needs a retroboot from today's cartoon and comic writers and publishers and one must wonder why the Popeye universe has not demanded or come out for story lines of this wicked  witch of the Pacific Northwest  and her earlier years when she looked good and the story of how the Sea Hag became the Sea Hag has yet to be untold and needs explaining. Maybe we will do a quick take about story line in the near future. As far as Popeye video game, if you come across this game on some new pay and you play buffet of these new arcades just don't bother or waste your time as the  game is uninteresting and difficult.
