Hogans heroes ran from 1965-1971 and for many people getting this program off the air and canceled was a top priority. Many people were offended by the prospect of a German world War II program and a comedy at that and this program battled from all odds winning and remaining on the air for some seven years on network television as one of the original cancel programming cultural attempts and the episode called Kommadent if the Year was the episode that showed to both the supporters and haters this program was going to remain for a while as the heroes made up this award for Colonel Klink to win
some award while they stole technology and launched a rocket that would o made Kim Jung Un proud. In fact, this is Kim Jung Un's most favorite episode of Hogans heroes as reportedly he views and watches this program along with Star Trek some twenty hours a week and we here at the studios of the Beast blog indeed have to his program on at all times,
The Kommandent of the Year episode was like fourth of fifth program and at the time many wondered how this program would e featured and directed and this episode showed the effects in 1965 of the growing popularity of this program and the possibility of it to remain and grow with outrageous comedic story lines. This episode also marked the first appearance of the extra Mojo Harris who for six seasons toiled as a background prop extra on this program never getting his deserved limelight and a speaking role and he was able to make several cool background imagery and affects
