   Why is Dave Ramsey surprised a couple is in one million in debt. In a recent viral video bald head Dave Ramsey took a phone call and he scratched his bald head in anger and confusion as a woman called and said she and her partner  (not husband they don't marry these days) have accumulated debt of about one million dollars. to purchase and spend and most of what they own are indeed based on debt and not anything attached to their incomes even if high. I would not be surprised if most people in these wealthy towns and having pricey meals, clothes, items,  big classic cars collection and huge homes have this based on their ability to get loans which in many cases they will never really have to pay back and only a portion to provide for their privileged life and spending ability.

Ramsey should know most Americans are living off debt like this where they get incomes through low financed loans that equates to five times of their annual income and eventually when the bills come they can just declare bankruptcy down the long road. Ramsey admonish this couple and told them they will have to make sacrifices and don't expect to see the inside of a restaurant unless they are working another job as he also made his usual demand they eat rice and beans every night and get use to it as this arrogant so-called financial advisor
