Good bye Alta Vista

Alta Vista is just another former search engine that has bitten the dust. I think many of these early search engines went away and were killed by Google as the government helped Google to be king after working things out between the two.This was a great search engine as was Web Crawler and others who had a head start over google. Now that the public knows how google has allowed the government to spy on people is an indication to me why Google dominates the industry. Yahoo decided to shut down this excellent search engine that many early users of the Internet enjoyed and got by on the web. The consolidation and destruction of competition of search engines is really an internet and privacy threat that few even realize and care about. Google is a cult and the workers there can never be trusted by those with knowledge and the folks at google have made a mockery of the work place and life in general. I refuse to use Google and now this engine is gone there is one less choice for consumers.
