Chicago's own George Wendt appearence on Taxi

George Wendt appears on Taxi. Thankfully he was not a part of this show to tarnish

George Wendt practically ruined the TV show Cheers with his bad character that was somehow popular. I recently saw a great show of Taxi where he made an appearance on Taxi a year or so before Cheers was developed on NBC. He played a fat, disgusting exterminator. At least he was working in this episode. This was a bad appearance that was very short. He had maybe a couple of lines in Taxi and it is too bad this was not the same number of lines he had for the TV show Cheers. The character Norm Peterson should never have existed and he should of been one of the numerous extras in the background we never got to know in eleven years of Cheers. I wish Chicago's own George Wendt was on Cheers as long as he was on Taxi which was only two scenes I believe. Pretty much this appearence showed that George had some connection early on in television. Plenty of people could of played Norm Peterson better than George Wendt.George Wendt's character on cheers was one of the worse examples of how media portrays Americas who hang out at bars. Fat and lazy and trying to get out of work is unfortunely a trait many people do have.
