The return of profits for Krispy Kreme

Arturo Armando Sanchez

Profits soared in this past quarter for Krispy Kreme as it rose to fourteen million and profits tripled from last quarter for same store sales. This is an amazing feat and something must explain this increase. What can account for this growth is the miserable weather that has people all depressed staying in or not traveling far to shop and eat. This is a bad donut and bakery outlet that was pretty much toast for the past several years. Nothing shows Americans ability to gain calories and obesity more than this chain along with Dunkin Donuts across America. The urge to spurge and gain weight is hard-wired in the brains of Americans and the addiction to sugar has many serious health consequences and one must wonder how long before politicians decide to put the Krispy Kremes on par with sugary soda drinks as the cause of much of the health crisis. In a free-market it would supposedly play out but when the free market demands tax cuts from business so individuals and business can spurge more on free breakfast for employees at Krispy Kreme we have a need to something to step in for the sake of children. Nothing has shown to be more problematic than parents inability to shop nutritionally for their growing kids and places like Krispy Kreme are in fact the main culprit for the growing childhood obesity. Places like KK and DD have definitely replaced the neighborhood candy store for the biggest health risks for kids.
