Richard Heinberg and Michael Ruppert discuss peak oil again

Richard Heinberg was on the Michael Ruppert lifeboat podcast and it was another excellent discussion about oil. Heinberg and Ruppert talked about how the predicted shortfall of oil in 2015 geologists have predicted is coming to true and they marveled at the accuracy from the year predicted decades ago. The false promise of fracking was also discussed in depth as the two big North Dakota wells are drying up quicker than was previously thought. Ruppert played a few songs on the show and talked some bit more about the role of energy with a declining economy that was previously built on the notion of unlimited growth on what is a limited habit that we all share allowing destructive capitalism to exploit and further reduce our living standard. They talked about the delusional thoughts of the big oil moguls who insist there are a hundred years of tight oil that we can get using expensive technology that will cost more to extract these tar sands dirty shale than what they can ever hope to reap.
The delusion of thinking that America will once again be N exporter of oil is a dream that even if to come true will do nothing to lower the gas pump prices. this is not a concern for the oil/gas lobby and they just hope to make a few rich selling our last resources to fuel China's economy. I highly recommend people to listen and pass this podcast with the two great doomsday energy speakers and writers today about peak oil and its consequences for America
