Slate podcast discusses Silicon valley's age discrimination

Tony Miselli
The insanity of angel investing and all the money thrown into geeky unproductive applications for phones has been a trend young hipsters with access to capital have capitalized. Their main talent is not the useless games they produce but their ability to be young and important to some in the technology field. The great Slate podcast with Dave Wiegel
recently brought up the attention how if people are over thirty they are to old for the financial backers of Silicon Valley. They will rarely back any project that is thought up from older owners of tech ideas and this is a industry that dramatically discriminates against older people. Most start ups in Silicon Valley and San Francisco are able to make it because of the youthful nature and connections these investors seek out. it is good to see Sate's political gabfest bring this important topic up that is often overlooked or just thought as the norm in the tech industry. The fact that Silicon Valley has so much money flowing around for the numerous applications that hardly impact society that much in such a beneficial way is a topic for another podcast. This podcast brought up the age discrimination factor in this industry that you will never hear from any of the business and other media outlets that push these industries into the minds and souls of the public. few in the public who could actually have anything to do with this industry.
