Neil Degrasse Tyson often has scientists and NASA engineers who often lament the fact that the government does not do more and $pend for their expensive projects. Neil recently had Mike Shara and Charles Bolden on his Startalk.com program and Bolden and Shara cannot believe that we are not on mars already. They say the biggest question facing humanity is whether there is microscopic life on Mars and that if it is discovered someday as expensive technology that can dig is created that this will be a game changer for humanity.
Hogwash. Martian microscopic organisms will have about as much impact and interest from the common man as microscopic organisms have on Earth and only men of Science who want to get paid like big men really care for all this space exploration. As Tyson states that without a cold war there is little interest and need to fund these expensive space projects. The only people who benefit from all this spending on space are big wig scientists like Michael Shara and Charles Bolden who profit for themselves on discovering that space is an inhospitable and dangerous place. Bolden says we benefited so much from new discovery science space projects and for a guy like himself who escaped the projects he might be right. for the rest of the people in the projects all this stuff that we shoot up in the sky and just get useless data is about as improving of their lives as a nine millimeter gun in the hands of a gangbanger. Bolden or Shara also talked about the possibilities of all these private companies shooting up stuff and profiting from space and bringing resources extraction up into our orbit in the mass of a asteroid. That's all we need out there is more space junk debris and a possible doomsday meteor to be hung closer to our planet so a few elite guys like these can become stars. Even Neil Degrasse Tyson knows all of this is bullshit and he is just riding the space celebrity stardom for all he can talking to these nutty Astrophysics talking about things that will never come to be as more real concerns occur on Earth that require more government time and expenditure.
