Breaking news it now appears that the rowdy one has joined the other numerous eighties wrestlers with the great wrestling spirit in the sky. Roddy Piper died of sudden cardiac arrest late Thursday night and it now appears he will no longer be making any more lame post-retirement appearances still acting and screaming like it was 1985. I never could understand how this guy continued to have a presence in wrestling well into the late nineties and early 2000's as he was well passed his prime and few people in the audiences remembered his prime days. Roddy Piper was one of the most boring and simple wrestlers with a very bad psychics and the same not very amusing moves stolen straight from a three stooges short. Roddy Piper had just made a video defending the racism from hulk Hogan and this should not be surprising as he always played the ethnic and racial stereotyping going way beyond even for a portrayal of a villanist wrestler as he often would say ethnic slurs and mockery like he meant it. pro Wrestling in the WWE had basically become a showcase for aging and older wrestlers at expense of the new wrestlers up and coming and in this it parrels really much many parts of the real world. These older men long established used their money and wealth to somehow keep remaining in the pro wrestling spotlight with all the news on WWE about their silly hall of fame and so forth. Perhaps no older former wrestler milked this and received as many continuing appearances as the Rowdy One and many of todays wrestlers must be wondering how can they ever achieve his status when the likes of Piper and others refuse to go away. roddy Piper dead at the age of sixty something.
