Northwestern law professor Steve Lubet wonders about computers and their growing ability in games. Lubet recently wrote a piece about software developers at AlphaGo who claim to have developed a program which can compete at the highest levels at poker. This research paper was written by the boys at this company using their companies money to work on this important project and this is something this Northwestern law professor should of questioned in his piece written for Tribune services. he should of written about the software development scam that continues and has existed for a while as these programmers are always working on nonsense type software that few people will ever use ,need ,or clamor for to fulfill any demand for products. Poker is not chess and this question about computers knowledge and skill in poker got professor Lubet wondering and writing for tribune services.
This work by AplphaGo is just a company using the system to validate their bogus unimportant research and this work and scam should be seen for what it is. Professor Lubet though doesn't see this and writes that it is impractical and questions whether a computer program could ever master poker. Lubet goes on to say how poker is an emotional game for humans only and the Northwestern law professor goes on to ridiculously explain poker and the role of money in determining skill and chance in this game as if this is some topic that really needed to be explored in corporate media.
The fact that the Tribune services would give a 700 word essay of professor Lubet to discuss whether computers could anticipate poker moves playing against human opponents is a joke and an article like this makes me want to fold. it makes me want to fold this newspaper and put it where it belongs either in the garbage or at the bottom of my pet parakeet Polly's cage. This article was just stupid and a waste of space and clearly corporate media just trying to give advertisement to the gambling industry under guise of news and research of bullshit developers of companies such as AlphaGo. Lubet explains that he cannot comprehend how a computer could ever sense a bluff and sense of loss and reading this nimrod try to explain the complexities of tactical inadequacies of computers defining the parameter of a hand makes me puke. Poker is a game where rich people can just blow hoarded money they didn't deserve trying to make other people fear their own mistakes and in reality this is a game of corruption and its rise in society is a indication of the spread of this disease. Perhaps a leftiest law professor can explain this better as a societal problem and not a parameter one that human ingenuity and engineers can claim they have developed. technology expenditure on unimportant development and casino games seem to go hand to hand for the hard working over-paid developers at AlphaGo woking on this important research for society.
