Like most right-wing Christian conservatives they obsess with sport and willing to bend over for wishes of billionaires. These white men say redskin name was meant to honor and give pride to Native peoples by using a derogatory name to further insult Native Americans in 2016. The defense of this name is a losing battle as which has already seen change by over a thousand high schools and colleges. These pricks keep mentioning some Washington Post poll that stated most Americans of indigenous descent had no problem with the name.
I could do a poll that would find most condemn the name and consider it racist and this is a ploy Red Eye radio hosts do often finding one conservative poll and then being it as fact. The Washington Post in now owned by Jeff Bezos and undoubtedly the Washington foot team has paid much money in advertising through the years and would likely want to influence a poll. These guys are full of shit if they think Native Americans support this disgusting name and one only needs to look at Western movies of the fifties to see how the term was thrown out as a slur often not being used as a honor salute. Anyone can buy a poll to mislead and tis Washington Post poll of Indians supporting the team name is about as obvious of a fabrication as one can find. The Washington redskins will sooner or later become the Washington Pigskins and only Daniel Snyder's millions and arrogance prevents this injustice occurring now.
