Dr Richard Wolff some lame left-wing professor of Economic in some School of the arts in new York City (Real University?) has a milady successful podcast which he discusses the important economic issues of the day. he often talks of the flagrant incomes Chief Executive officers get and he often seems to go after Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz got some twelve million in compensation. Now that may sound a lot but when taken in consideration how this guy basically funded and help the company expand all over takes some sort of will how or business guru to get accomplish and this is something a Richard Wolff doesn't want to acknowledge.
While I hate Starbucks being an coffee conseneur of the incredibly great water coffee at Dunkin Doughnuts I have to admit that Howard Schultz did wonders in creating a increased knowledge and taste for superior coffee. many young people flock to this place and unlike the crowd and fat slobs one would see at Dunkin Donuts most of thes epeople take pride in their knowledge and appearance.
Dr Wolff just doesn't like that Howard Schulze created such a wonderful and popular western brand in a short time and he thinks bean growers should be making 12 million a year instead of the guy with a vision and ability to create a retail network in which every community has a Starbucks for people to come in and tip a sip or suck a straw. Professor Wolff's obsession with Starbucks is bizarre and while its a national chain Starbucks popularity has often helped other independent roasters to grow as well imbuing entrepreneurs and a more emphasize in culture of a coffee and donut as a meal and an important part of a daily habitual routine. As for some people like my fat ass it is a dozen stale donuts and two Dunkin Donuts coffee and this is what I prefer. For many others especially young women it is getting in their tall boots and heading out to the local Starbucks to see what other people are drinking and wearing. Dr Wolff tells his few listeners to think about Howard Schultz and his outrageous bonus or compensations but unlike most CEOs this guy actually started the company and I wonder in the think skull of this clown Richard Wolff if that thought ever wired around electricity in big bad Wolff's brain. Most of the people I see when I walk past Starbucks into a Milwaukee area Dunkin Donuts likely are not thinking about how much this great free-thinker and capitalist Howard Schultz is making and for every penny he makes more than professor Wolff it is a penny more earned for a old clown that does nothing but whine about rich people and the economy. If bad Wolff doesn't like how Starbucks is operative perhaps he should start his own coffee cooperative and call it the Red Riding hood Coffee chain.
