Another great De Grasse book

Lionel Wagner

Neil DeGrasse Tyson hits another one out of the ballpark. He hits it out of the galaxy and it is still traveling the solar system. The book "Death by Black hole is another book where he shares his enthusiasm for the stars with various chapters of cosmic knowledge and scientific wonderment.
Tyson explains the knowledge we gained from various spacecrafts of the sixties and seventies such as Voyager and Pioneer and he ofte makes the case that war and cold relations help lead to the scientific research into the cosmos. The threat ofwar lead to spending to make our country more competitive with the increased spending our Russian rivals were spending to strengthen their international position.  This is a very entertaining book of insight of mysteries of our solar system and he far reaches of the galaxies are what dudes like Tyson think and thrive on with enormous enthusiasm. One can imagine that Neil knows the name and orbit of every asteroid in the Milky Way and each asteroids individual  element make up. I learned aot of shit about asteroids in this book and just hie one doesn't ever hit the earth although he says one will come very close in the year 2029. The book covers everything from the speed of light to the first ballistic rockets that were funded and developed thanks to war. This is a long book that covers a wide range of space topics and lets the readers choose in small chapters which topics one wants to read more about. If you don't want to spend five minutes on the chapter on gas clouds you can skip it ike I did. ho cares about gas clouds when you can read about water on other bodies or comet collisions. What makes this an easy read is the guy is actually a television star and there are few science celebrities I can think about that write books, do podcasts, and are on TV as often as Neil DeGrasse Tyson. unlike most jackasses you see on the boob tube this guy worked hard. learning something to get the right to have a voice and a pen to publish stuff. You don't have to be an Astrophysics or Exobiologist expert to enjoy this book and it is written with enough easy sophistiation to be an enjoyable look and insight into the mysteries of the far reaches of the universe.
