Tony Magee is the cocky owner of Laguanitas Brewery and often grumbles in expletive tweets on his twitter account about things in the industry. Magee goes after all comers whether the big beer corporations to fellow craft beer companies as many have been formed by wealthy assholes hoping to find a gold rush of easy profits. The accusatory outspoken nature of Mr Magee both puzzles and and angers them as Magee works inexpediently to protect some IPA label that he thinks belongs to his brewery. this CEO heavy handed approach to attacking others trying to get in the industry can be labeled as bullying and his enlarged ego has enraged big time competitors that are now aiming to hit his growing brewery. With this in mind Magee went after Sam Addams as they introduced a new Rebel IPA beer that Magee sees as going after his beloved Laguantis
. Laguantis is a company that put its Midwest quarters in Chicago working with local leaders to get the best deal for himself. I told the owner of the Itasca Inn where I work that as long as I am here I never want to see this beer sold here. The antics of this owner and his indiscretion of business matter on social media is rueful. This company is going into the turf of other regional breweries and will use all its key allies in government to give it an advantage over rival craft makers. This is a dude who will not let resolutions with other companies go quietly and proudly attacks others with his nutty twitter ramblings exposing the ego of this CEO. The cocky attitude and nature of this man is shared by other leaders of corporate industries as a ruthless nature that has helped wreck havoc on peoples lives. One can only hope laguanitas and Mr Magee fall and become troubled by rival tactics directed at his company as what goes around comes around for men like this turkey.
