Carl OlsenWhen a billionaire like Amazon founder Jeff Bezos buys the Washington Post for two hundred and fifty million dollars it makes one wonder why this guy would buy this worthless asset. Right wing nitwits think nothing will change from this left wing paper but in reality Jeff Bezos is one of them . Wealthy people are among a class of themselves and we have to examine acquisitions like this as another example of the ultra wealthy buying up important media outlets. A Millionaire family sells a worthless paper to an extreme member of the upper and upper one percent. John Henry,owner of the Boston Red Sox just bought the Boston Globe for a fraction of what the new York Times paid for the paper in 1993. It is obvious these ego manic business owners who succeeded in other areas think they are invincible and can turn around an important venue for advertising dollars they make their fortunes. However they will just see the same result and incredible loss of investment as others before them in the decaying newspaper industry that has been all but totally replaced by the technological driven generation of today who will not become future newspaper readers. Jeff Bezos is on his way of losing some of his fortune from making this incrediblously stupid investment.
