Stephen King is not the horror writer but shares the name with him. Instead of writing on grisly killings this Stephen D king writes about economic policies and crisis es and his latest book is called "when the money runs out". The book is a take on our agenda here how the affluent lifestyle and energy demanding lifestyle as we know it is coming to an end and people better accept it. Stephan's book though is a libertarian
angle as the dickhead says that government stimulus programs are leading to the crisis. He calls government stimulus junkies and ignores the fact that most spending costs at least in America is the unsustainable infrastructure of having roads everywhere for rural communities to dot the landscape. The government spending this guy is critical about is the spending that benefits people who don't go to work in expensive suits everyday. The author of the Money Runs Out, Stephen D King, does do a good job charting the failures of Western economic policy over the past decade. He shows how we assumed the good times would continue for ever, and how policy-makers made matters worse. He notes how their failure has led to a collapse of trust not only in financial services, but in economic policy. Politicians in the West have promised services they cannot deliver. he fails to illustrate why politicians cannot deliver on their promises as corporations have gutted the economy and moved their jobs overseas and people continued trusting in a business world that had delivered in the past. Of course what can you expect from a guy who was group chief economist for HSBC King argues that unless we learn from the past, the West is doomed to a long period of very low growth and rising mistrust. Public trust through institutions is something he knows is very important for society and he goes through this in the book. Stephan D King will never be confused with the real Stephan King and his take on the coming financial calamity does not put blame on corporate rule and investing madness we have in the Western world. people like King rather see the lower classes be dealt more severe blow than the ones calling the shots and installing a more unjust unequal financial world. people are going to have to tighten their belts and not live like the way we were acustomed thanks to speculaters and investors that are looting pensions, budgerts, accounts and other money they can get their dirty claws on and that is the real horror story of life.
