Nick Digilio has a radio show on a fifty thousand watt radio station called WGN radio. He finally got a steady full time gig after years of being their sucker and cheap fill in for the numerous vacations full time on-air staff seemed to generously receive from this mainstream corporate media giant. In recent weeks Nick Digilio seems to be having a hard time filling air time on WGN and often uses movies and music for content. lately though I have been surprised to the amount of tie he allows on his eccentric show to discuss classic video games of the eighties. Like most shows on dwindling local radio outlet across the country he read more texts than calls. Most people say the same games over and over again whenever this topic is brought up on his show.
Digilio and his fools that call and text never mention the video game platoon. Platoon was a great Nintendo game decades ago that was somewhat based on the pathetic eighties war movie. There were four parts of the game and three of the plots and look of this game sucked ass. however one part of the game had such a classic cartoonish army war look that it should be always be a video game classic. The part of the game with the GI walking through the jungle was innovating for the time and all the kids loved how it looked if not exactly how it played. The game play sucked to maneuver through the jungle maze and frustration with the slow bullet and mobility of the American GI soldier. also doom was not the first first person shooting game as Digilio's idiot producer says every time they discuss video games. Platoon came several years before the video game Doom and featured a first person video game shooting screen. Digilio and his entourage cannot even get simple facts right on their radio program. They know little of the history of video games and should just have a regular expert to be on whenever they take calls about classic video games
