Pigskin was an amazing arcade game where you basically controlled Vikings and Trolls is a tough ancient game of rugby football. Barbarians are all over the field and they play a back and forth tumble in this arcade classic that was ruined when it was made for the Sega Genesis. Some people thought having former NFL coach Jerry Glanville would somehow make this franchise game more stronger and his voice could be heard throughout the game. The arcade version luckily never had this awful addition and this was the premier popular arcade game in the few dwindling arcades that were still around by1990. This game involves much punching,tackling, and other abusing of other players in this very rugged game. This was produced by Bally Midway and is still one of my favorite games ever produced. Pigskin could be a difficult game to follow as the action is back and forth and involve long passes that rush through the screen making it actually hard to judge where exactly on the field or play screen. The graphics of this lame were pretty amazing and cartoonish for 1990. This was a great fun game among an era of some pretty lame boring games at the local arcades and on the Sega genesis platform and occasionally I dust off the old genesis just to play a few favorites such as this gem.
