Pooch's Cafe is an all right dog comic strip. The drawings are pretty crude and different and it is not one of the most popular strips in the history of comic strips. it does have one of the more annoying characters since Kathy in this character who plays Pooch's owners girlfriend and unfortunately she makes one too many appearances in this strip. Whenever I open up the Sunday funnies and see her in one of these boxes I just skip the entire strip. In fact, it makes me in a bad mood I just close the dam paper as who wants to read a strip featuring a loud mouth bitch unless she is one of Pooch's four legged one. This human character just makes me sick and why this strip features too much on the non-canine characters instead of the dog ones I will not understand.
Now another thing that annoys me upon researching pooch's cafe was a strip that featured pooch talking to a goldfish. Everyone knows in the comic world that the goldfish gag belongs to Mutts creator Patrick McDonnell who uses a depressed goldfish in a small tank and has run with it often. I guess Mr Gilligan decided that this was his unique idea of the fishbowl gag and I highly hope in the future he just has one more appearance for this pet fish consisting of Pooch being a bad one and flushing it down the toilet. Anyway that is my pooch's Cafe intake for this day.
