Baxter Lomax returns with tragic news of a bar shooting in beautiful Waukegan, Illinois

Baxter Lomax
I want to thank people out there for making me the most important and requested columnist at the left/ugly shark blog. The number of comments usually two or three far outnumbers all the other writers here on this blog and I am really honored to see my bar posts being far greater in views than the other turkeys here. I have often talked to editor Troy and asked why just doesn't he make this a beer and bar blog. Well it has been so e time since I have checked in here because quit frankly I have not seen much in the local news about anything concerning bars until the other day.
There was a tragedy in a Waukegan bar as a guy shot some woman in a really dark scuzzy bar. Before I get I to the bar let me tell you a it about the city of Waukegan. I rarely go trough there in my travels trough tri-state areas for business.
As Midwest bar consultant and owner of the Itasca Inn in suburban Itasca I need to make contacts with all sorts of be vendors and owners for industry related matters and I try to avoid Waukegan as best I could. It is one of these third world places in America that don't resemble the country but looks more in place in Mexico as the city is like 80 percent old school Mexican migrants. The type of people who don't assimilate and likely believe the are still in Mexico with their lack of education and so forth. Half of the stores are all in Spanish and you see very few Whites or Asians in this town whatsoever. This past weekend Roberto Romero killed his girlfriend Maria after having too much tequila I suppose. I would never patronize a Mexican bar like this and one can imagine the countless domestic disasters that occur in Mexicano bars Ike this
Taco Buenos bar on North Avenue.
The victim was actually a single mother who co-owned the bar and her name was Epilida Munoz-Garcia Riveria or something like that. Obviously being an immigrant and in an area with few corporate competitors such as BBW or Br Louie in a Mexican poverty stricken area where get more ownership opportunities than say living in a more upscale neighborhood. Dumps like Waukegan would benefit from these chains investing in their communities but they all want sprawl areas and huge restraints unwilling  to compromise size for these old rust belt but charming walkable close home communities that are so minority filled as Waukegan and other cities. In the meantime they have their rough unregulated bars where patrons can drink to they flop without any worry for consequences and results of their actions until  they kill someone.
