Paul Sereno didn't discover Sanajah Indicus

     Wired science website had a news item about snake eating baby dinosaur fossil that as found some time ago. Paul Sereno was not part of this discovery but said that we unearthed a great find as a rare fossil find of both predator and prey. It was actually unearthed by Indian geologist named Dhanajay Muhabey and not Paul Sereno twenty six years ago and this new species of snakes discover were not like today's snakes.

They lacked jaw joints and were able to really open their head and swallow things including the other creature found in these amazing fossils dug up by other paleontologist dudes not named Paul Sereno. It was a University of Michigan paleontologist, not Paul  Sereno, that took a second look at the fossil in 2001 and realized the fossil actually showed a snake around an egg coiling it and a hatchling. The hatchling dinosaur was a baby titansaurs who grow up to be one of the largest known creatures ever recorded. A landslide had buried everything for millions f years and preserved this fossil to be discovered to by a Paul Sereno. He was interviewed and present at the press conference announcing this "stunning o ce in a lifetime find" as he was quoted sure to get the media coverage as a paleontologist media entrepreneur. He was sure to be there announcing the news of This new snake species named Sanajeh Indicus which was a baby killing snake that loved dinosaurs with soft skeletons. Jeff Wilson points out how difficult it is finding a complete snake fossil back then and the early evolution of snakes is still a mystery. Paul Sereno would cut him off in the videos and say these snakes have been doing this egg eating thing for a very long  time. Before birds fell prey to having their eggs eaten their ancestors encountered the same thing. Yes Paul snakes have been surreptitious for millions of years eating creatures  before they get out of shells and see light.
