Froma Harrop gets it about sports and forced cable subscriptions

   When a columnist like Froma Harrop starts writing about the scam of big time sports and ow they have used tax payers to fund their billionaire bank accounts and provide free stadium s then you know people are waking up. Few sports columns would of taken the sports leagues to task as Froma took ESPN and the sports leagues for using tax exempt bonds t finance their new stadiums and lie that it actually helps the local economy. The billionaires who took over the sports ownership of their big time leagues actually had paid politicians  to speak these lies which actually takes away more from the local economy as she points out many of the dollars that would of gone to local businesses goes to high ticket prices, over-paid gamers, and insane concession prices to either the sport teams or some awful third party vendor. Froma also points out that ESPN charges five times more than the average channel for inclusion onto a cable package that offered no subscribers an option of optioning out of sports packages many do not wish to have included. The National Football League recently gave up their tax-exempt status after the embarrassment non-sports columnists around the country began announcing the compensation of 44millions dollars per year for commissioner Roger Goodell. If anyone thinks a commissioner of a monopoly like the NFL deserves forty two million dollars then I have some boots once worn by Genghis Khan for sale to you. Froma cheers the fact that president Obama's budget forbids these abuses of tax codes using tax supported bonds to finance future mega stadiums that are used by advertising companies more than the average citizen.a good anti-sports article by syndicated columnist Froma Harrop.
