In China it pays to make sure the person you hit is dead

A recent phenomena in China that is just getting news in western press and parts of Asia is the unbelievable aspect of Chinese drivers running again over their living victims of pedestrian hit and runs. The Chinese are a people who think it is better to have a one time lump payent for accidental death than a lifetime of medical bills their careless driving resulted in physical alignment. The Chinese are willing to reduce responsibility by continuing the agony of the person his by car until the driver has endured death.   This is a market and a country that American leaders want to do more business with and ship more automobiles to these reckless drivers more worried about their financial situation than the survival of the people they hit with their automobile. These crimes are increasing and a larger percentage of these BMW drivers and influential people able to afford automobiles getting away with these crimes is remarkable. Chinese erratic law that doesn't apply to certain connected people often does not prosecute these crimes and lets the driver get away with a payment of thirty grand instead one of a lifetime of bills for the living victim. So far this news has only hit the remote small scale websites and one written piece in Slate.com as the American media doesn't want to upset their business partners in China with news critical of this country many companies flock to invest. these tactics to avoid responsibility is insane and sheds light on the unstable situation in Chinese culture that would allow these travesties and injustices to occur.
