Japan stuns South Africa as much of the American sporting world ignores

Perhaps the biggest upset in the history of sport took place last week and few noticed it in the Western hemisphere in an area obsessed with baseball, soccer, and collision ball. The japan national team defeated the South African rugby team in the first round of
the world cup of rugby. South Africa is a power in rugby and basically only loses to other powers of this great sport be it England or New Zealand and it went into this game against Asian team not expected to stay long in this tournament and  throughout the match and showed the South Africans they had game and spirit for this international sport gaining in popularity throughout the world. The South Africans were dazzled by the passing and the toughness of this small Japanese team. Japan turned its first matchup with mighty South Africa into the biggest shock in Rugby World Cup history on Saturday when the 1,000-1 no-hopers won 34-32. this victory sent shockwaves throughout the rugby universe and gave a sense of pride to the Japanese nation that they can compete in this rugged sport followed by much of the world. Ferocious tackling from Japan kept them within two points of the Springboks at half-time after driving mauls brought tries for South Africa's Francois Louw and Bismarck du Plessis, with Leitch touching down for Japan. This victory will be one for the ages but has been ignored by American press wishing to instead allocate all time to the borings of boreball and collision pass instead of focusing on the beauty of this game. Any sport where Americans cant dominate is obviously one we wish to ignore. However in Asia this is a dawn of a new sporting era where more nations aside from Australia can compete and win anytime they take to the field and prepare to tackle an opponent in the worlds roughest game.
