Left Shark closes two beaches in Hawaii

Arnold Buckley
Two major beaches in Hawaii had to close down after a pair of attacks from Left Sharks on swimmers. The attacks, which are rare, happened off of the coast of Oahu Island. They are Hawaii's sixth and seventh this year. officials are baffled by these attacks as many oceanographers love to say that shark attacks are rare and only the result of people being mistaken for seals instead of seeing these fish as the nasty, dangerous predators that they are. Sharks are not the lovable, dim-witted creature that you see in the comic strip "Shermans Lagoon". While I love this comic strip without a doubt it portrays sharks as lovable creatures posing no threat and  really no different than a dolphin. These sharks often come to the coast of Hawaii to harass vacationers and beg for fish food and at times snapping at these ocean tourists that invade the sharks habitat.  I would not want to be swimming in any of these Hawaiian Island chains as sharks are all over the place and the tourism industry of this island has been trying to hide the dangers posed by sharks for a long time. You are basically swimming at your own risk whenever you go into the waters of Hawaii,California, or Florida. Of course , not all sea attacks are done by sharks. Last  Saturday, a 32-year-old man was rushed to the hospital in serious condition from popular Waikiki Beach with serious injuries to his left foot, she said. That bite, first believed to the work of a shark, was later determined to be caused by an eel, according to the Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources. How exactly a eel gets mistaken for a shark is still being debated in Hawaii's natural Biological department.
