Chuck Woodruff
I have the sad news to report that inearly October Chef Paul Prudhomme had died and the world of cheap sausage, rice, and stingly crayfish combination dishes is at a lost. Cajun and Creole cooking is so bad and everytime I went to one of these places basically half of what you were fucking eating was dam rice. I am not sure what killed this celebrity chef but I would wager my money on that this guy overate as he was always around food telling people to eat this and try this fantastic dish. Men like Paul Prudhomme who put such a premium on food (Not to mention lame bad food) was part of the problem and why the United States lead the world and continues in obesity rates. In a perfect world for Paul Prudomme the world would all be eating Cajun and be as obese as he was with food plentiful and bountiful for everyone. I don't know how great this mans dishes could of been when he gave this shit such gglamorous names as Sticky Chicken and Dirty Rice but at least you have to give this guy and his girth some credit for being honest. Creole and Cajun restaurants usually don't last in places outside the big easy where people are willing to wolf down anything and are more drun to realize how and what the food tastes going into their belly. K Paul's Louisiana Kitchen had lines stretching around the block but this was only because he was such a part of the media and was on TV all of the time and the tourist needed a well-known establish face to try crawfish while they were in New Orleans on a company paid vacation. C'mon you have to try crawfish while your in Louisiana and with the spices and incredible cooking methods it would taste different than the crawfish you wouldn't dare touch coming out of your dirty creek in Michigan. this guy would just fill his pot with gigantic amounts of lard and pepper a hundred different seasonings to hide the fact that what he was cooking was actually garbage as is most Cajun food not fit for a 22 year old alligator. People thought this guy was some great innovator for having so much free media time to experiment crossing food that need not be crossed. No more dishes will be created as Paul Prudhoome is dead at the age of 87.
