Vince McMahon dismayed by small crowds in hick Knoxville

Dave Berkson
Times are tough for Vincent K McMahon. pro wrestling has long fallen from the mainstream and only huge corporate spending to promote WrestleMania ever puts this embarrassing American spectacle on media mainstream display. In fact Vince will be putting up the ante and going into further debt paying for ESPN to cover this sport but it is a lost cause as this weekends crowds in Knoxville, Tennessee illustrate.
There was nobody in the Knoxville arena where the WWE was having a Smackdown TV taping despite this being in a white trash state that long supported phony wrestling. It seems that the monopoly that Vince K McMahon created to crush his rivals is now working against his behemoth wrestling company as lack of local talent and viewership is taking its toll on the WWE as I expected it would take a few decades. When the WWE can't even count on their stronghold White trash base as these Tennessee cities where there is nothing to do on a Saturday night you know this company and industry is in trouble. the quality of wrestling in these few remaining independents around the country is atrocious. This troll has perverted and pornified the wrestling industry as he made a transition of a Saturday morning environment into a Saturday Night brothel. This guy and his company deserves this free fall of cultural relevancy and awful attendance and cable ratings it continues to draw and one must wonder how much longer these cables channels are going to further put up with this brand tainting their channelsEmbedded image permalink. The WWE is never going to find a new audience of kids watching this crap as there are so many more interesting things for them to do than watch what is obviously fake athletic competition. Rugby, soccer, and Australian football should have a brighter future and any media exposure through the cable monopoly than the lame bullshit that is thrown out into this fake wrestling that is called entertainment.
