Bill O'Reilly write a lot of shitty books on presidents and his book about Reagan was another senseless read that has rightfully been criticized by a lot of pundits. He covers a timeline and story of John Hinckley and Ronald Reagan and the events leading up to the assignation attempt on Ronald Reagan in 1981. The book is mainly just a rehash of Reagan's presidency and it continues becoming a book on Reagan and Thatcher and the Falkland War, Lebanon terrorism, Iran Contra and so forth after O'Reilly covers Hinckley's assassination attempt on Ronald Reagan which didn't kill him. O'Reilly contention is that the assassination assault on Reagan affected and changed the presidency of Ronald Reagan which in bunk and Reagan would of ruled pretty much the same regardless of a little knick that nearly entered his lung.
This book offers nothing new on those that already have read a lot on the Reagan presidency and I would imagine 98% of books covering the Reagan presidency would be of better quality and informative immersion on a dude like Reagan who should never have been president. this book is all over and if O'Reilly really wanted to write on the assassination attempt and afterwards he should of stayed in that time person of the first few months of Ronald Reagan's tenure as president. This book is all over and this book eventually gets to Reagan's breakup and tenuous relationship with his children. Reagan had trouble with his grown kids because he was an authoritarian son of a bitch and continued to be a power freak to his kids while in the white House. 
This guy was the first media created Frankenstein politician and without his early film career he would have as much chance of becoming the fortieth resident as Fidel Castro. the only reason jack fucks like Bill O'Reilly worship Reagan is that he hammered union s and the soviet empire collapsed and these jerks think Reagan's regime had anything to do with the fall of communism in the former Soviet Union. O'Reilly thinks American exceptionalism and freedom had something to do with the fall of global communism but whether that freedom extends to the workers in sweat shops producing the mass profits that paved the way for corrupt capitalist allies and the ruinous global trade machine is not really expressed in this dumb book. The real reason Eagan's America beat of the Soviet empire is that it had better established network lines through other countries but as we have seen since the Bush years this empire of ours has come at an high expense and bloody end for so many American soldiers and Mid East civilians. Reagan prevailed over Russia because they had a weak leader and one wonders what Reagan's legacy would be if Vladimir Putin was in charge of the Soviet Union. most like he wouldn't have any and people would or realized the evil he committed all over Latin America and elsewhere that those in the extremist right-wing media ignore and pass over in referring to the most evil of all American presidents. America and the rest of the world would of been better off if they really did kill Ronald Reagan.
