Greg Boyce is in a jam. As he overlooks his great office with a view of the arc in downtown St Louis and he feels the heat of presiding over a company that lost 1.1 billion dollars in the past year and has debt of some six billion and yet in interviews he says don't write off big coal. Despite trends showing that more and more people are against the nasty polluting efforts of those in the fossil fuels burning industry who never reside near the mines or do its laborious labor underground the planet. Boyce dismisses the growing competition from natural gas suppliers and says green technology is overrated and too expensive for the poor saps who work at Wal-Marts This jackasses biggest argument why we should continue to subsidize the coal industry and use these environmentally degrading sources of cheap energy is because coal is not as overly ditty as it was twenty years ago as they have cut emissions somewhat through the years do to the pressures from activists. Pea brain Boyce sees great opportunity to shipping our coal to Asia and their growing energy needs and says that the growing internal demand from a poor community paid pittance wages means that more and more Americans hopefully qualify for some kind of low-income energy assistance to save his fucking company Peabody and insure he works with a great view of St Louis. Corporate CEOs in the energy field hope for continued US poverty to force the government to have to supply and subsidize their dirty energy ventures instead of moving into greener cities and more sustainable urban living environments for this country. This is one of many jackasses that keep fighting the Obama administrations efforts and progress to altering our reliance on fossil fuels and these shits actually want to pollute the country more to ship it for Asians. Like I said this guy is a pea=brain and a perfect piece for Peabody incorporated.
