Scientists discovered an intriguing new species of dinosaurs with a "sail" on their fucking back and for once Paul Sereno didn't have nothing to do with this discovery. Morelladon stomped on the earth some one hundred and twenty million years ago and scientists including the great university of Chicago paleontologist Paul Sereno have no friggen clue to why these dinosaurs had a sail on its back. Many of the pre-dinosaur reptilians had these sails and I always thought it had something to do with regulating the temperature of these massive creatures. I don't know I am not a cool hipster scientist like Paul Sereno. I am just surprised whenever I see a major dinosaur discovery and Paul Sereno isn't involved although in many cases he gives a word or two about the discovery as he did on the net with this recent discovery. You have to get a celebrity like Paul Sereno involved in a major announcement because he is cool and from Chicago and most likely did more than those actually involved with this dig. The Morelladon beltrani’s most distinctive feature is the presence of tall neural spines on dorsal vertebrae, which was possibly a ‘sail’ used for thermoregulation, or as a storage place for fat to be used during periods of low food supply. Morelladon now is a weird looking dinosaur and I think it had this sail in order to make it look more intimidating to the meat eaters or maybe it was a place to put excess fat during good times as it munched on the may green planets that once filled this fucking planet. Sereno was quoted as telling the Christian Science Monitor that he believes that this sail was a sexual stimulant for female Morelladon's who couldn't resist and impressive hump on the back allowing these males with impressive sails to hump the shit out of them. This is another hypothesis and clever idea and is why Paul Sereno is the brilliant paleontologist and digger of Dinosaur bones and discover of species that makes him a huge number of fans in the offices of the Center Bear blog.
