the bad astronomer Phillip Platts came on This Week In science and complain about funding and how there is not much money to be given scientists to send space rockets into space and give them easy fun jobs of their passion. Thus week in science is hosted by Dr Kiki and two other hosts and basically they asked the bad astronomer several questions in a hour long interview what is up with the space program and why are we not going to the moon every other year and exploring caverns and looking for loop holes. Mr. Platts basically said the funding has dried up and he doesn't have much faith in private ventures for costly space rockets and space stations. TWIS host Justin Jackson asked the bas astronomer if there was a mining asteroid around that we can just mine the shit out of and bring back the needed resources and why this wasn't being done by now. The hosts also discussed how it takes defense spending and cold war type mentality to kickstart space research and extract more resources from government for defense spending and weapons research. Mr. Platts basically
said the only reason we went to the moon was because the space race was a race and after every race is over and accomplished there is a thaw in desperation to increase pressures for dramatic gains in space exploration. Dr Kike, Blair, and Justin still have wild hopes of a wild west one day where scientists and elites get to be the new techno pioneers in space while the rest of the mopes are stuck on an increasingly polluted and flooded planet left by the mess of the resource extractors developing the earth into a hostile environment for their personal fortunes and profit. no wonder these technocrats dream of space and escape from the wreckages they helped create.
