Arnold palmer is dead. The geriatric former golfer who got paid a kings ransom for hitting a tea died of heart complications yesterday and the sports industrial complex was saddened by this news and death of one of their proclaimed icons. The real sadness in society that many may feel is why is the death of this old golfer, who was more than financially compensated for swinging a club should really be relevant or important in these times. Arnold Palmer is no more important than any other man named Palmer and the way the sports news paid accolades for this old troll was disgusting. Arnold Palmer should of been forced to give back most of the money that corporations through his way and the way I take it and so many others is this old creep ripped off the masses of workers in theft wages and gains for himself through these years as corporations divert money and profits into the hands of a few who push the idea that an elite golfer should somehow be important in culture and monetary advantaged in life. Golf is a disgusting game as the late George Carlin liked to point out and perhaps no other symbol than big wig domination of the plutocracy is their cult golf.
There is no legacy for Arnold Palmer except those who think paying tribute to those who excel in non-important talents is a proud achievement in American culture. The growth of golf, the growth of all sports as a marketing force boosting the bottom line of multibillion-dollar corporations, owes a debt to “the King” so claims the corporate media who installs a sense of worship for athletes in order for the bottom line marketing expenses be diverted towards themselves instead of livable wages for the common folks making the profit. The glorification of Arnold palmer this weekend was both disgusting and disturbing to those who really know what's going on with western business and the hijacking of capitalism in order to preserve and prolong an economic infrastructure that the rich benefit and decide a fucking golfer , bat swinger, or tennis racketeer is more important in the economy and the racket they have used through endorsement and advertising expense. The success of this old man and other of his generation of gaining wealth through illegal and scrupulous activity of the corporation will be studied by future generations and seen as a visible sign of the generational inequality of the baby boomer classes in destroying the economies of the West so a few elites of that generation can pick-pocket the wages and labor of so many.
