I have the unfortunate news to report that famed Elmwood park crazy cougar Aurora died in Elmwood park's zoo in suburban Philadelphia the other day. Aurora had suffered for years from kidney failure, degenerative joint disease, senility, and cataracts according to the zoo and the poor crazy cougar was often seen in a corner disgruntled with her captive life and the pains untreatable medicable deficiencies and having to be stared and gawked at by these ignorant primates and their little offspring wondering why the lion was not active and fierce.
The sad decline of Aurora through the years was depressing for many at the staff as the crazy cougar often y passed fresh deer meat brought in by hunters of excessive deer control and the Puma preferred grass and an occasional rodent passing through the grounds. This lioness typically stayed to herself and didn't do shit as an attraction occasionally playing with a few blocks and toys from time to time. Aurora still had other quick reflexes and instincts and smelling senses although the rats and squirrels often killed made their way to the cougar attracted to the strong urine smell and attraction for the rodents. Aurora arrived at the Elmwood Zoo 1n 1999 and the staff discovered they were bamboozled by where ever they bought the big baby Lion as she was nearly already blind from bilateral cataracts.
