Rex Reed Jr
Rag radio host Thorne Dreyer is a longtime Austin based leftist podcaster and little listened to radio host. The iconic liberal progressive radio host doesn't put out enough programs. In an era where right-wing fanatics Rusk Limbaugh and Sean Hannitty dominate the airwaves Thorne "thor" Dreyer does few programs and is neglected to the small wattage of an Austin radio programming. The guy is either too lazy or inept to get his name and cause out there as a legitimate progressive voice on the airwaves. there needs to be more voices like thor on the radio and more leftist radio hosts syndicated ny radio stations nut it appears many of these popular or well-known hosts such as Thorne are not has motivated and ambitious enough to get the job and financial backing for their talk radio ventures. another problem with Thorne is he is still stuck in the sixties and has too many idiots playing music when they need to be discussing important action and programs to achievie their goals.
Thorne recenty had a couple of Indians on his program some time back when the Dakota pipeline protest began in earnest and he had Steve russel and Geronimo's son on his program. as he was discussing the protest with these two activists trying to bring about the halt of another fossil fuel environmental pipeline thorne took time out to discuss the musical career and adventures of Geronimo's son and talk of hip-hop getting off topic and a tangent about this lame musical style. Geronimo's son is one of th ehipest young activist against the Koch brothers oil behemoth and rag radio host Mr Dreyer would of been beter off airing his voice more than along with the othe rolder guest and wasting time playing music for half of the program of his podcast interview progressive show.In the few minutes these activists got to speak They say that construction of the pipeline threatens to contaminate the Missouri River and to encroach on sacred lands and burial grounds. Russell and Son also address larger issues, including the sovereignty of Indian treaty lands and what they see as the likely emergence -- as a result of these actions -- of an unprecedented unified Native American civil rights movement, tapping the tactics of nonviolent resistance introduced in this country by Martin Luther King.
Geronimo's son is one of the premier American indian activists and didn't get enough tie to explain what exactly the whole pipeline protest is all about nor has Thorne had a good follow up story of the continuing protest since this podcast several moths back.abput rag Radio is for the rags.
