LeBron James is pissed as the other week aging skull and lame coach Phil Jackson blasted the great NBA playing legend . in return King James basted the court jester Phil Jackson whose only claim to fame is being a tall little leprechaun lucking out on coaching opportunities for peaking great NBA teams. LeBron James and his business associates bring a lot of bucks to the royal coffers of King kames and to have a old punk dis his name and friends was just too much for LeBron James to take.
Phil had complained that some years ago LeBron forced the team to stay overnight in Cleveland while LeBron and his posse climbed the clubs of glitzy downtown Cleveland and with that remark Lebron James lost it and broke several items around his McMansion. LeBron James and his name is a brand with dreams of making more money than is airiness air Jordon but this economic dream could be tarnished by this old Andrew Jackson type man branding it with the term posse. In an interview on TV which Phil made a lot of dream easy money for speaking he talked of the deterioration between James and Pat Riley and the Miami Heat in an interview with ESPN. Jackson said, "You can't hold up the whole team because you and your mom and your posse want to spend an extra night in Cleveland." He also added, "I do know LeBron likes special treatment. He needs things his way." I mean it would be like LeBron putting Andrew Jackson's name alongside Phil Jackson's. LeBron James and his buddies have built a impressive business sports empire and carved a nice niche for themselves and perhaps the seventy year old Jackson is green in jealousy and greed for air time to voice his displeasure. needless to say James is dismayed that a man of Phil Jackson's statue keeps trying to demean his name and brand and destroying his dream money brand name. Perhaps Michael Jordon has a role in this in his long term friendship with uncle Phil. When news of this interview broke Lebron nearly broke his boom box. Lebron needs to "chill', drink some chili and realize he has made hundreds of thousand Andrew Jackson bills from playing a game and having a spotlight that former coaches have a say in the sorts media world from their success as a coach.
The racial overtones and insensitivity of King James though is a joke and one hopes the main issue is money and not the ego and sensitivity to a term that is common and not even is a remote chance of being trivialized and racialized as somehow LeBron James has took tis issue. One must also look at the racism of Lebron James taking this criticism and the wording of it from Phil Jackson as clearly if sir Charles Barkley had repeated this verbatim no doubt the King would of found it less objectionable. This incident though was a Pandora box opened up by Phil Jackson's mouth and need to speak and have cameras in front of I'm talking about the NBA and its players for the media and sports industrial distraction role it plays for society so LeBron--being an individual who has profited from this merger of money and dream sport--should chill out and accept having some criticism from his elders in this sport.
