Rats are a problem for Chicago and the city is desperate to curtail the problem of rats and have tried to let loose feral cats and injected dry ice into rat nests. Dry ice is placed into established rat holes mainly visible in city parks and the ice routinely puts the rats into a dry spell sleep for good. thus method is far cheaper than other poisoning methods used in the past to rid cities of this pest as I far well know in the city of Milwaukee. I have for months been bugging city leaders for more rat control methods in my neighborhood and backyard as months of letting my dog take a poop outside has done much to bring about a rat infestation problem.
I have never heard of this dry ice method but i will be pushing for Milwaukee's civic, government, and business leaders to get off their wet ice and cocktail drinks to getting some dry ice and the blue-collar problem of rat dog-shit. Killing rats by dry-ice seems pretty dam cool. infestation. 
Chicago's rat fink mayor also initiated the biggest feral cat project ever seen and he personally let loose sixty cats at a park last summer and told them to get out there and start getting some rat. In a sense all he needs to do is allow more Chinese kitchen and taquerias to open in the city as meat sold there is often blended with the rodent variety Emmanuel also increased the number of full time park and recreational workers in the rat control department but the rat population continues to expand in this sanctuary and Hilary Clinton corrupt city and this should absolutely come to no surprise. Instead of letting cats loose in the parks they need to let Lions loose at City Hall
