Midnight the cat knows better to stay out past midnight at and about its residence at 1174 Hollywood Boulevard. As reported here some time ago this month Russell the Coyote took out Hucky a neighboring tomcat owned by the Jeanilous family and Russell had Midnight on its cross hairs to snack before winter. Russell the Coyote is one of thousands of urban Coyotes remaking the urban
environment into their own and many Coyotes see small cats as competition for the various wild game that still exists Americas urbanization. Russell not only killed Hucky the cat but ate him in broad daylight carrying Hucky into the hoe domains of Russell which was caught on video by a passer by who vide taped the eating of Hucky by Russell. Midnight can be seen inquisitively observing the shattering of the cats bones and to Midnight's horror what the Coyote was chomping on was his personal friend and compatriot of the night.
Coyotes are finding a variety of diverse food sources in urban areas and their success at hunting in the day and night has amazed naturists and the idea of Coyotes running around city streets in the middle of day is becoming more and more the norm and a danger to cats and dogs. Midnight the cat of 1174 Hollywood Boulevard must remain diligent and aware of its surroundings at all times as Russell has vowed to fellow coyotes he will get this Black cat soon  and will kill it and piss on its head. It's a brutal world out there in los Angeles in these times being a cat as Coyotes quickly replaces the niche loose feral dogs use to have in the city chasing felines and control of the turf before animal control regulations of peoples pets and wild dogs lead to the eradication of strays on the streets. Now their void has been left for the Coyote to kill and spray in place of the stray.
