First of all I want to thank the Adopt A beast blog and Randolph Perkins the fourth for making me the newest addition of this incredible blog. one of the first things I was told upon being hired was that I was to write about a list of people of which I was handed and one of the first names I recognized was one Mr. Richard Florida. Tis rock-star urbanist often hailed the coming take over of the creative class of people and their beards and incredible technological skill and now-how in transforming society with their gadgets and ways to either profit form new business or just sap government and tax-payers of their base. This is the predominate case of the creative class and their is increasing blow back against the religiosity teaching of professor Richard Florida professing the revitalization of certain urban centers to this new class of technocrats. Recently though people are questioning the wisdom of giving these creative bullshit artists so much sway and investment seeds. Richard Florida often said it was good for cities to lure in the intellectual types with gay friendly environment and coffee houses dotting the landscape keeping out the unhip chains like Dunkin Donuts and the ignorant slobs like Jason Percy form them. Florida though failed to realize that these economic engines would only draw the banking and software engineering classes who would drive up rents and makin g housing skyrocket further inhibiting the poor form a slice of the economic revitalization of these areas. Guy like the pompous arrogant ass want to see an America where rich creative people live separately and the warehouse robotic slaves fill orders in loud machine and railroad areas areas miles and miles away. Richard Florida faced immediate drawback this past summer in Houston as several of our staff cracked writers confronted this geek from what I hear and I wish I could of been in the audience as Florida received this extreme criticism and realized he was not in Kansas anymore. In fact, Richard Florida likely didn't realize thr brain drain that was occurring through his creativity economic gospel which was occurring in places ahh like Kansas and Florida.
I don't think this jackass has ever been throughout Florida and never stepped foot outside of Miami. The criticism poor Mr Florida received in Florida ..I mean Houston made this clown think twice and is rewriting his whole long sought creativity urban hypothesis as being great for cities. In his next book Richard Florida will address the pessimists and this fool realizes his prognosis and favoritism for creativity financial Ponzi economic overlords is not working out as he planned. he might even devote gasp..a chapter on inequality in his next book. this guys ideas has fueled automation and rewarded the assholes who push for less workers and more offshoring in the economy. This is a guy who wants all the fancy pants and people able to afford two hundred dollar yoga pants to live separately form the rest of the country. Mr. diversity also has realized that with globalization is important for say Mexican immigrants to live apart and not assimilate lets say in Chicago or Milwaukee so they can make a living and move back to Jalisco or Michoacán some day and live like a chilango. Richard Florida also goes "fucking nuts' by the idea of loosening development restrictions to boost housing construction and give some affordability for folks to live in these areas. this is not the plan her prefers of seeing the creative types living next to the intellectual bums. Florida blasts these libertarian urbanites who agree that in order to bring housing cots down you have to increase supply which this jackass vehemently fears and disagrees. this jack wants segregation of the type where those with access to globalization and funding and investment opportunities to live separately and in these global city-states that gives subsidies and all encouraging for the global order to carve out separate districts and dominate a large chunk of the American economy and the political advantages that come with it. Richard Florida and his 35,000 dollar speaking gigs are a joke.
