Coyote hunting contests are a great way to limit these wild beasts and support Bobcat populations as Bob the Bobcat fights off Coyotes for six hours in the Shawnee national forest

The Chicago tribune recently put an editorial criticizing the Coyote hunt contests in Illinois and elsewhere as people hunt to see who can bag most coyotes at one time. The Chicago tribune feels coyotes are like canines and don't realize the havoc these min-beasts can cause for other wildlife and so forth and their numbers should always tried to be limited by man. The wild coyote really is not a good animal often killing and harassing other predators and wildlife and a recent YouTube video of a Bob the bobcats night form hell trying to protect his deer kill in the North woods is evidence of the sinister and sly actions of this animal often stealing food from the work of other predators. The Bobcat fought off numerous Coyotes and attempts of these animals from stealing the deer kill that Bobcats often have to spend a lot of energy and patience  in committing for themselves. After all one needs to remember Bobcats are not Cougars ,Pumas, Mountain Lions,  nor Black Bears and bobcats are not beasts. This video on YouTube is amazing and cute and I loved the sounds and growls of this little furball that looks like my little tabby named Rascal except a bit bigger.
Bob fought these demonic Coyotes that persisted for four hours in harassing this beautiful cat and threatening it livelihood and survival form constant wear and tear battling and theft of kill. I felt for this poor Bobcat having these vicious mini-thug beasts come after it from time to time in this night vision video of a deer kill left by a voyeur who wanted to see what wildlife would get this kill. Much like the Japanese at Guadalcanal these coyotes kept coming and coming up the ridge and were fought off for hours until it became too much for Bob and he had to leave his meat to the ravages and savages to the coyote. For the Chicago Tribune and other editorials being upset that rural backwater hunters in Southern Illinois want to dwindle the numbers of this species and from seeing this video one can see why the Coyote has never been really beloved by man and is the complete opposite anti-dog of a canine species one can come across. I love this bobcat and if i could I would capture it and keep it as another pet next to rascal, and  my Saluki and feed them deer meat and muskrat every day.
