Professor Walter Williams is loco on population density and wealth and forgets Mexico City

Peter Patel
Professor Walter Williams is a complete moron and how this mani s a professor of economics from reading his last column. The professor from George Mason Uiversity apparently thinks that over-population is not a problem because Hong Kong,Seoul, and Singapore are rich areas despite their very high population density. he went on to compare these smart Asian countries, where many flock to the city as industry settles in select areas, with the poverty of low density countries such as Congo,Somalia, and North Korea. the jack ass ignores the slums of Mumbai and mexico City among other high density areas that are major problems and have low GDPs.
Professor Williams says there is not an overpopulation areas because a few cities he selected have tremendous resources and wealth and have high density populations. This man refuses to see problems around the word where over-population and strain of resourced produces problems and chaos and has given rise to such groups as Al Shabbag in Africa and other Muslim radical groups in the Middle East.Dr Walter Williams should study Tunisia and Nigeria a little ore and see the problems of overburdening the ecological footprint with invaluable resources of man who are more of a burden than a value in many parts of the world. Believing that there is no population problem because some wealthy cities have sky scrapers and the money to sustain their small geographical area with masse sof people ignores the problem the other seven billion people are experiencing. It is not all rainbows and unicorns as well for the masses of migrants who have flocked to these mega cities as many Chinese need to scrap by by collecting cans in and around Beijing.

Walter Williams makes no mention of Mexico City and the slums of Mexico capital and the problems of over population as a cause of poverty for so many nations who didn't use the valuable resources of mankind to invent ways in solving the problems. Williams makes the assertion that because we have cell phones and rocket launchers now with an earth of seven billion people instead of George Washington and George Masons day of one billion that we are better off with more people.
