Still remembering Mojo Harris and how he passed over for sixth season of Hogans Heroes sergeant Klinchoe spot

one of televisions biggest disgrace was Ivan Dixon being allowed to leave after the fifth season of hogans Heroes as producers didn't want to pay him the same amount the other cast members out side of Bob Crane were receiving in compensation for the sixties iconic program base din a POW camp. for five years actor Ivan Dixon had been playing Sargent Kinchloe masterfully and the disrespect he received on set and low Mcwages was enough to send  him packing and back to live theater stage work. Hogans Heroes did a massive quick audition for the token Black role as this was in the height of the civil rights movement and hogans heroes executives were not about to let  major role to go unfilled as Ivan Dixon left at an impromptu time before filming for season six.
The cast had a excellent extra and young actor willij g to step right in for the Seagent Kinchloe role having observed Ivan dixon and his character as an extra for five years but for Mojo Harris it would not to be. Hogans heroes was not about to let an amateur to step in and become an actor and despite pleas from members of the production staff poor Mojo Harris was not even offered an opportunity to audition for the role which eventually was awarded to an actor named Kenneth Washington', whose performance was miserable and eventually only dd one season as the staff and crew could deal working with him.
Mojo remained on set for the final sixth season but was further regulated to the back of the barracks and often even had his meager background appearances edited by production staff annoyed so may people were coming to the defense and encouraging Mr Harris's potential promotion to full cast member.
