  Kentucky Fried chicken closed on Dempster and developers and the village of Skokie were quick to convert this long-time fast food eatery into another expensive foreign or immigrant owned eatery. The demise of Kentucky fried Chicken in this day of age o family owned over-priced restaurants and hedge-fund supported Chick-Fil-A is typical of the challenges this long dominating chicken fast food giant now faces and for some reason Kentucky fried Chicken and Yum brands is getting hammered in America. I use to stop here often while traveling in this area and its numerous backpage Asian apartment massages and I use to get a pot pie. The Skokie location though suffered from bad mismanagement and workers who were among the worse of the worse. The workers at this KFC resembled Beavis and Buthead's characters and were so slow and sloppy perhaps sales declined dramatically in this store and the difficulty of gaining good employees is an industry standard for all fast-food workers in an era of hedge fund ownership wishing to limit paychecks as much as possible.

KFC has had to close about a thousand stores in recent years to make up for their ridiculous rotating colonel marketing television spots and perhaps paying its workers more instead of paying actors to represent the image of the founder might be a more appropriate strategy in the upcoming years as this company seeks to reverse its declining fortunes against upstarts Popeye's, Chick-Fil-A and of course Churches Chicken. Churches chicken has been hammering KFC especially in urban ghettos areas and Kentucky fried chicken is losing more an more opportunities in immigrant areas as mom and pop restaurants take place and hold and the KFC imagination and history has no appeal for some. I hate Chick-Fil-A and everything they stand for and it is a shame that these right-wingers have gone after Colonel sanders and his chicken empire through the years buying up key visible spots across America with their inferior higher price Frankenstein chicken giving the impression that somehow this place belongs in the same league with the colonels 12 secret herbs and spices secret recipe and this KFC fast food take down as been a strategy for a while in going after the quality and lower-price ability of the Colonels empire as the profiteers seek to make food an expensive commodity to trade and peculate as an investment.
