The McDonald corporation is a fake restaurant that actually serves as a real estate, construction, and franchise fee based business and a recent news item just confirms my long held suspicion of this belief. The Chicago-based burger chain stated that it will be spending 317 million dollars to subsidize connected and important construction forms much of in Illinois get contracts on a no bid service. McDonalds has already remodeled scores of restaurants in Illinois through the years and why they needed even minor investment remodeling made me ponder for a moment and to think what these restaurants are really about than just selling burgers and fries.
This is clearly not a business with goals of selling food and the fake news that it needs to "transform" the customer experience of eating bad food is typical of this rotten corporation and other fast food business that are more about supplying contracts for construction firms and kiosk electronic manufacturers than the business of selling food. McDonald's amazingly will spend six billion dollars in its roughly 14,000 restaurants across the United States in an investment that likely will not add up to more customers or that more noticeable "customer improvement experience", but is actually a way for other rich people to get their share and work in the field of fast food restaurants and the power of stock buy backs and free money form federal banks and investors.
Many of these fast food major players have already stressed and committed major remodeling and one has to wonder if these business serve the burger hungry customers or the suppliers and developers of kiosk computer screens and how does an "experience" improve when you can't even talk an order but instead have to point out and read hitting it on a touch screen sharing germs with hundreds of people fingering each other on screen. McDonald's is in a drive to remodel to make their supplier and contractors happy and recently a classic retro nostalgic McDonald's in Libertyville ,Illinois was threatened by this same wasteful spending by the McDonald's corporation. The resistance was up but didn't last as local village leaders were corrupted to allow the McDonald corporations to totally ruin the old look of this Micky D's and allowed the technocratic modernization effect and new signage and lighting to take effect and totally run the character of this building and its location in a historical cool looking district.
